Engineering & Manufacturing

Heavy kit, technical audiences, hard specifications.

Exhibition stands for engineering and manufacturing brands - heavy plant, machine tools, automation, sub-assemblies and industrial suppliers. Built for live demonstration, technical hospitality and buyer conversations.

Engineering audiences don't want to be sold to - they want to see the product working, ask a specific question of a competent engineer, and walk away with a spec sheet.

Engineering and manufacturing shows are working shows. Visitors are technical, decision cycles are long, and the buyers who matter - chief engineers, plant managers, technical directors - will spend real time on a stand that has real substance. They will walk straight past one that doesn't.

We design engineering stands to be workshops as much as exhibitions. Machine tools and heavy plant are planned in from concept - with power, water, dust extraction, floor loading and guarding accounted for at CAD stage, not retrofitted at method-statement stage. Live demonstration is scheduled and staffed. Technical documentation is on-hand, on-screen and take-away.

Hospitality on an engineering stand isn't a coffee bar. It's a private meeting space where your commercial team can spend an hour with a customer's engineering lead and go into genuine spec detail - the conversation that turns a good show into a project. We design that space so it works.

Audience profile

Who you're meeting  on-stand.

  • Chief engineers, technical directors, plant managers
  • Procurement teams evaluating tier-one and sub-assembly suppliers
  • Design engineers specifying kit for new-build projects
  • OEM representatives scouting technology partners

Typical objectives

What a good show  looks like.

  • Live product demonstration of machinery, tools or automation
  • Booked meetings with named technical decision-makers
  • New-project qualification and RFQ generation
  • Distributor and channel-partner recruitment

What we plan for.

Live product demonstration

Power, water, dust extraction, guarding and floor-loading planned in from concept stage - not retrofitted.

Live product demonstration

Technical hospitality

Meeting spaces built for an hour-long conversation with a customer's chief engineer - not a coffee-and-leaflet drop-in.

Specification take-aways

Digital and printed material buyers can walk away with, in the format their procurement team expects.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Sector-specific questions exhibitors ask us - from compliance and live demos to lead times, costs and reuse across shows.

Can you plan a stand around a live production line?

Yes - power loads, dust extraction, coolant handling, guarding and floor-loading are planned at CAD stage. We've delivered machining, laser, additive and robotic-cell demonstrations on-stand.

What about health & safety for live machinery?

RAMS, guarding and safe-working procedures are prepared with your engineering team and the venue's HSE lead - signed off before build week.

How much does an exhibition stand cost for this sector?

Sector-specific stand costs vary with floor area, complexity and show location, but most UK sector stands range from £10,000 for a compact modular build to £150,000+ for a large bespoke presence. We quote fixed costs against your brief before any design work begins.

How far ahead should we plan a sector-specific exhibition stand?

We recommend 4–6 months for a custom build and 8–12 weeks for modular or reconfigured stands. Earlier planning secures better freight rates, avoids rush fees and lets us tailor compliance, demos and hospitality to your sector's expectations.

Do you understand the compliance requirements for regulated sectors?

Yes - we design for ABPI, EFPIA, healthcare, nuclear, utilities and financial services conventions every day. Compliance, security clearance, accreditation display and EHO requirements are designed in from the first concept review.

Can you handle live demonstrations, vehicles or machinery on-stand?

Yes. We plan floor-loading, power, water, dust extraction, guarding, rigging and safe-working procedures at CAD stage. Live demos, vehicle reveals and machinery operation are routine across engineering, automotive, energy and manufacturing shows.

Do you deliver stands for international shows in this sector?

Yes. We regularly deliver into Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, the UAE and the US. Local hall rules, customs, freight and on-site contractors are coordinated end to end for every sector we serve.

Can the stand be reused across multiple sector shows?

Yes - modularity is the default. Reconfigurable frameworks, swappable graphics and palletised storage mean your stand adapts from a 36m² regional show to a 72m² flagship without a full rebuild, reducing cost-per-show after your second event.

What our clients say.

The stand was the best-looking one in the hall and it drew the exact audience we needed. The SRXPO team ran the whole build without us lifting a finger.

Five shows in four countries in one season. Every stand landed on time, on brand and on budget. That kind of reliability is rare.

From the first concept sketch to breakdown at 10pm on the last day, they were the calmest people in the building. Stress-free is not a word I use lightly.
